Orillia's waterfront parks - Couchiching Beach Park, Centennial
Park, Veteran's Park, J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park & Kitchener
Park, offer everything from music festivals and free Sunday
evening band concerts to bicycle rentals to outdoor
skating rinks. Gardens, monuments, supervised beaches, boat
launches, a skateboard park and splendid views create a perfect
setting for family outings. Orillia's 9.5 km paved link in the
Trans Canada Trail winds through our City, connecting our parks,
the Port of Orillia, heritage sites and horticultural delights.

the thrill of 192,000 square feet of fun and excitement with over

Couchiching Beach Park is located next to the Port of Orillia.
Home of a variety of interesting buildings and monuments, it hosts
concerts, festivals and many other events. The beach and the
miniature railway are very popular attractions.
There is lots to do in Orillia all year round. Skiing, downhill
and cross-country, snowmobiling, ice fishing and skating are all
available in Orillia & District. One feature of the Winter Carnival is the snow sculptures.
There is also an ice castle and a variety of events, including the
Polar Bear Dip. The area is a popular destination for fall tours. Couchiching
Park itself is especially scenic at this time of year. Fishing is a very popular sport in Orillia & District. Both
Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe boast excellent fishing. The Leacock Museum, former home of humorist Stephen Leacock, is
open to the public. The home and gardens are beautifully preserved
and several summer events are held there. The boathouse at the Leacock home has recently been restored to
its former glory. Historic Downtown Orillia hosts two Sidewalk Sales during the
spring and summer months. Our Visitor Centre, located in the former railway station,
provides a host of information on events, recreation and
accommodation. Orillia also contains a number of interesting and attractive
buildings. The downtown area includes many historic homes and
stores. Orillia's churches exhibit a variety of architectural styles.
Whether you are traveling by boat, by car or by plane, Orillia
